The roles of medical students at grand rounds

Grand rounds happen weekly. The content of the talk, doesn't really matter to us students. Our presence there is to,
1) finish up the food sponsored by pharmaceutical companies
2) fill up the empty seats

Today, when we were playing our role (1), a paediatric fellow came,
"Ladies, are you coming for the grand round? Can you go to talk to the pharmaceutical representative?"

Ohhh...that's our 3rd role - To entertain the pharmaceutical company rep...

They were standing there, holding the pamphlets that they were supposed to distribute and advertising their products to people who were there eating (I guess that's why they sponsored food). But today, no one seemed to have the intention to go near them...poor reps...

They were advertising hypoallergenic milk, by the way.
