101 Ways of Taking Oral Contraceptive Pills
1) On your first day of period, start taking it on the Monday and follow the arrows to finish the packet. (Oh...what if my first day of period is not on a Monday?)
2) Start with the sugar pills...finish them then continue taking the active pills (Seriously...did you study?)
3) (Randomly, vaguely point to a section of the pill packet) start here and follow the arrows...it's simple...
4) (Look at the packet for very long, looked puzzled like never see an OCP packet)....Start here (the sugar pill)...err..no..sorry...start here (active pill)
5) My favourite one - If you have trouble swallowing tablets...you can take with water I guess.
Dear didi and meimei, I am glad that this is just an exam :) Go home and study harder ya!

A Random Video that I Came Across - Cute Dad Lip Syncs the Daughter
It's a cute video showing the dad lip syncs the daughter's tantrum.
It really shows how well the dad knows the daughter and can even tell what she's going to say.
Thumbs up for daddy :)

The Bird On Our Shoulder
I wish I remember to ask the bird on my shoulder everyday,
"Is it the day?"
Then hopefully I will live every day like it is the last.
Then hopefully I will live every day full of courage to do what I want to do instead of what I should do.

TaDa...
Sauk新村
Sauk

Night
Just finished 4 days of overnight shifts in ED.
And I caught a cold.
Random thoughts:
It's ironic to see more daylight when doing night shifts.
It's fun to talk to sleepy consultant who is not grumpy.
It's hard to tell whether elderly patient is sleepy or drowsy.

A Small Act That Won A Nurse's Heart
I was on my cover shift last weekend. A renal patient needed an IV cannula resite thus I went. The patient is old and crumbly and looks like he has had a stroke in the past because he couldn't move his left arm well.
I put a new cannula in and then wrapped it up with a bandage to give it extra protection.
Later I bumped into the nurse that looked after the patient. She was so surprised when she went back to the patient to find that the cannula has been wrapped up. I guess she hasn't seen many doctors doing that themselves. Doctors normally leave that to nurses.
She asked me, "When are you coming to renal? We would love to have you!"
Well...not this year.
A kind act no matter how small, will leave a good impression I think.
When you make someone happy, the happiness will come back to you :)

No lunch today and many other days
I realised,
I did not have a drop of water, any food from 7.30am to 6.30pm
And no toilet break too.
And I walked up and down stairs many times,
Talked almost non stop, to nurses, patients, family, boss, juniors.
My stomach gets used to no lunch now after 8 weeks of being trained to do so.
It still grumbles though.
I feel depressed when I don't get to eat.
I feel this is not the right way to live when I don't get food.
I feel irritated.
I have mood swing when I am hypo.
Yup, this is my hungry rant...
