A consultant is someone who only has to come to the ward once in a while to take the bradmas of private patients and then 顺便 does a brief wardround by saying hi to patients.
A consultant is someone who sits at the corner throughout the endoscopy list, playing Angry Birds on his iPhone/window shopping on eBay whilst the registrar is busy scoping. He then 拍拍屁股leaves at 4pm, whilst the registrar is still scoping the last patient.
A consultant is someone who accepts essentially any patients referred to him on phone, wrapped up nicely with a "gastro" story, without thinking much...whilst the registrar is frustrated, "Who said this patient comes under gastro? No one told me about it!"
